Watch out for high blood fat
What nutritional factors play a role in the increase of blood fat in the body, how can we prevent the increase of blood fat and cholesterol in our blood, what are the complications caused by the increase of fat in the blood, various medical recommendations and treatments related to this condition together. We will assess it
blood fat
Hyperlipidemia is an increase in the amount of cholesterol or triglycerides in the blood, which causes hyperlipidemia. The amount of these substances in the blood increases as a result of consuming more than the required amount of food or when there is a disturbance in fat metabolism. High blood fat and blood sugar, as well as high blood concentration, cause tingling, numbness and numbness of the feet. And during sleep, the soles of the feet become very hot and wake the person up.
What is the increase in blood fat?
An increase in blood lipids is seen with diseases such as hypothyroidism, some liver and kidney diseases, diabetes, chronic kidney failure, obesity, some infections, alcoholism, AIDS, etc. An increase in blood lipids by accumulation in the walls of the vessels leads to their narrowing, and for this reason, it increases the risk of stroke, chest pain, and blood clots. To detect high blood lipids, two types of blood lipids are measured. That is, cholesterol and triglycerides are done. In the meantime, cholesterol increase is usually mentioned as a newer pathogenic factor.
What is cholesterol?
Cholesterol is a type of fat found in all the cells of your body. Cholesterol does not dissolve in the blood and enters and exits the cell through lipoproteins. Lipoprotein is a combination of protein and fat and carries fat in the blood. Cholesterol is essential in the liver, spinal cord and brain.
Cholesterol plays a role in building and maintaining cells, some hormones, making vitamin D and absorbing fat-soluble vitamins. The ideal amount of cholesterol is less than 200 mg/dL.
When blood cholesterol increases, fat is deposited on the surface of the artery. Finally, these deposits make the normal flow of blood difficult, and in this case, your heart will not receive enough oxygen-rich blood and the risk of heart attack will increase. By a similar process, reduced blood flow to the brain can also lead to a stroke.
How blood cholesterol is formed
Cholesterol is produced in the body in two ways:
1- The body makes its own cholesterol. The liver makes the most cholesterol and its amount is around 1000 mg per day.
2- Cholesterol entered into the body, through eating foods such as: red meat, chicken, fish and dairy products.
Fruits, vegetables, vegetable oils, grains and nuts have the lowest amount of cholesterol and egg yolks and meats have the highest amount of cholesterol.
What factors affect blood cholesterol concentration?
– Type and amount of food
– Female body
– physical activity
– Heredity and genes play an important role in blood cholesterol status.
– Age and sex: the increase in blood cholesterol concentration usually starts around 20 years old. Premenopausal women have lower cholesterol concentrations than men of the same age.
Symptoms of increased blood lipids
The main symptoms of increased blood fat are caused by two factors; One is the heavy and thickening of the blood, which slows down its movement in the vessels, and therefore will cause a blood supply disorder and a relative lack of oxygen in the tissues, and the other is an increase in body temperature due to an increase in bile. These symptoms are briefly:
1- Feeling of heaviness, fatigue or bruises in the body.
2- Drowsiness.
3- Burning and feeling of increased temperature in different parts of the body, especially the soles of the feet, which usually worsens at night.
4- Relatively intractable pains in the legs and soles of the feet (and sometimes in other parts of the body).
5- Headaches that usually appear as heaviness in the head.
6- Dry or bitter mouth.
7- Dizziness and sometimes buzzing.
8- Headache, dizziness, heaviness, drowsiness, heart palpitations and similar symptoms after consuming fatty foods; and relieving these symptoms by consuming substances such as water, lemon juice or vinegar.
9- Increased body sweating.
10- Swelling and swelling of the face.
tipMentioning the above symptoms does not mean that all those who suffer from an increase in blood lipids will show all the above symptoms; Rather, they often have only some symptoms.
