1. Don’t forget iodine in your diet
Iodine deficiency is one of the main causes of goiter. For the treatment of goiter, a diet containing iodine is very effective. For adults, the recommended dose of iodine is usually 150 micrograms per day.
To supply the iodine needed by the body, eat iodine-rich foods such as iodized salt, kale, seafood, cod, tuna, eggs, shrimp, turkey, natural yogurt, cow’s milk, beans, baked potatoes with skin, and blueberries. Include in your diet.
Note that in certain cases, goitre can be caused by excess iodine in the body. Therefore, it is necessary to consult a doctor before increasing iodine intake.
2. Use seaweed powder instead of salt
