Tea is one of the most popular drinks among us Iranians. It is better not to overdo it and do not expose your body to its harm and side effects. - Drinking tea 10 minutes before taking acetaminophen increases the effectiveness of this drug. Caffeine in coffee, tea or cola drinks increases the absorption of acetaminophen, but it should be kept in mind that high doses of this compound can cause liver damage.
- Taking some drugs with caffeinated drinks can also cause symptoms such as tremors, sweating and stuttering in a person; For example, anti-asthma medications such as theophylline should never be taken with caffeinated beverages. In general, if you take medication, reduce your tea, coffee and cola drinks to one cup to one glass a day.
- Simultaneous consumption of acetaminophen with foods rich in carbohydrates such as biscuits, dates, jam, etc. slows down the absorption of the drug.
- Taking iron-containing medicines such as iron sulfate (ferrous sulfate) and iron-containing foods with tea causes iron absorption. So people with iron deficiency should not drink tea immediately after meals.
- Drinking three to four cups of tea or coffee a day may increase the effect of dexamethasone.
