Do not ignore stomach pain
It happens a lot in some people and is accompanied by bloating and gas. In this case, the person has a disease known as irritable bowel. Irritable bowel or irritable bowel syndrome is not malignant, but it is very annoying and its treatment is to avoid taking stimulant drugs in addition to medication.
A specialist in internal diseases considered bloating, abdominal pain, especially morning pain, as symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and at the same time said: change in bowel habits is the most important symptom of irritable bowel syndrome.
In an interview with ISNA, Dr. Ghobad Salimi said: Irritable bowel syndrome, which is mistakenly called nervous intestinal colitis in popular corrections, is an inorganic complication that cannot be attributed to a specific cause.
He added: Some believe that genetics are influential in the occurrence of this condition, but this issue has not yet been proven. In some cases, it is said that an intestinal infectious disease or severe mental stress can also be the cause of irritable bowel syndrome.
Selimi considered intestinal dysfunction as the most important consequence of this condition and added: In irritable bowel syndrome, bowel movements and emptying become abnormal. In some cases, these movements are severe and the person faces diarrhea, in some cases, the bowel movements slow down and the person becomes constipated, and in some cases, the person alternately has both conditions. Of course, in this disease, these symptoms should last more than three months and there is no special reason for it.

He considered bloating, abdominal pain, especially morning pain, abdominal cramps, gas accumulation in the abdomen, etc. as other symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and said: These symptoms should not be accompanied by bleeding and weight loss. In this case, the situation is completely different and the person may face other diseases, even cancer.
According to this expert doctor, since the basic reason for irritable bowel syndrome has not yet been proposed, there is no definitive treatment for it, and most treatments are based on symptom control, including the treatment of constipation, diarrhea, and bloating.
He stated that supportive treatments, including stress reduction, can also be effective, and pointed out: some bloated and high-fat foods, carbonated drinks, etc. can also aggravate the symptoms, which should be avoided.
Emphasizing that intestinal neurocolitis is benign in most cases, Salimi said: People suffering from this condition should modify their lifestyle.
