It is designed to help energize your body from sleepiness to alertness, and helps revitalize and flush out old toxic matter that your body was busily breaking down during your midnight slumber.
Blueberries are one of the best breakfast foods, because they actually help strengthen your ability to perform better mentally throughout the day. Bananas are also great to include in your morning routine, because they contain beneficial fruit sugars, which help wake you up and power you throughout the day. Maca powder is also something a little special you can add, as it helps regulate hormones and provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids.
Vanilla Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
– 2 ripe bananas
– 1 cup organic blueberries
– 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean powder
– 1 cup young thai coconut water
– 1 tsp. maca powder
– 1 tbsp. green powder of your choice (I like to use raw alfalfa grass powder)
– Optional: 1 tbsp. chia seeds, hemp seeds or flax seeds
Method:
Blend all of the above ingredients through a high-speed blender like the Vitamix, and enjoy throughout the morning!
