Dr. Maryam Boshoor said: One of the most common cancers in Iran is stomach cancer, which unfortunately has no symptoms in the early stages and is diagnosed late.

Pointing out that long-term consumption of smoked and dried foods or salt is a factor for stomach cancer, he clarified: due to the high concentration of nitrates, these foods are prone to stomach cancer.

He further added: history of gastric surgery, reduction of stomach acid and consumption of spoiled food are also risk factors for this disease. Endoscopy and sampling of the stomach lesion can diagnose this type of cancer.

This specialist in blood and cancer in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province said: According to statistics, stomach cancer is more common in people with blood group A, but a convincing cause for it has not been found yet.

By stating that the factors that cause cancer are genetic and environmental, he clarified: smoking is an environmental factor that causes cancer. In some cases, this disease manifests itself with symptoms such as weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, swallowing disorders, anemia due to iron deficiency, especially in men, and hidden blood in feces.

In the end, this specialist in blood and cancer recommended: using water and healthy food and not consuming smoked and rotten foods and following the relevant tips can prevent stomach cancer.
