No juicer? No problem! Not many people know just how easy it is to make a juice without a juicer – all you need is a blender and a nut milk bag (or fine mesh strainer)! If you are on a budget and can’t afford a juicer (or simply want to save kitchen space), then this is just the recipe for you!
In fact, you can create any type of juice recipe with a blender and a strainer (not just this recipe). However, if you do choose to use tougher vegetables like carrots and beets, you may want to invest in a high-speed blender like the Vitamix! Regular blenders just won’t cut it.
How to Juice without a Juicer
Ingredients:
– 1 medium cucumber
– 1 cup kale
– 2 cups spinach
– 2 green apples
– 3 celery stalks
– 1 lemon, peeled
– 2 inches ginger root
Method:
1. Place all ingredients into a blender, and blend on high until well incorporated.
2. Transfer blender contents into a nut milk bag (or fine-mesh strainer), and strain into a large bowl.
3. Discard fibre in nut milk bag (or use in baking, your garden, or compost), and pour juice into large glass jar.
4. Enjoy! (alternatively, you could juice this recipe in a juicer if you have one!)
