A urologist said: Some studies have shown that infertile people are more at risk of prostate cancer than fertile people, that’s why infertile men should be more careful about this cancer.
Urology expert Alireza Sarban stated: Infertility is a common problem in the world and it is estimated that about 15% of couples in different societies suffer from this problem.
He added: Of course, the infertility rate in Iran is higher than the world average of 15%, and infertility is higher in urban areas than in rural areas.
Sarban stated that infertile people are more likely to suffer from problems related to the urinary system due to their conditions, and emphasized: Some studies show that infertile people are more at risk of prostate cancer than fertile people, that is why infertile men should be more careful. This is cancer.
He added: Actually, based on the results of studies, prostate cancer tumors grow and spread faster in infertile people, and the growth rate of these tumors in fertile people is lower and milder.
Pointing out that prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in many regions and communities, Sarban reminded: this cancer has a very high prevalence in people over 60 years old, which is why periodic examinations after the age of 60 are necessary to prevent cancer. Prostate is very important, especially in people who have a family history of this disease.
