If you’re new to juicing, a veteran, or middle of the road (like me), at one time or another, you’ve pondered the million dollar question….
What to do with of all that super expensive, organic, and glorious pulp?
Toss it? Hells no.
After a bit of soul searching in my early days of juicing, I was fraught with the same dilemma. Fortunately, there is a happy ending. My saga and epiphany are chronicled here, along with some creative (and delish) ideas for what to do with the leftovers. This, my juicing friends, is one of them.
Like many other children of the 80’s and 90’s, I was not only into Madonna and Hammer Pants, but also a total Orange Julius junkie. You know, that super sweet, fake orange colored concoction at every food court? Yeah, that one. Liquid crack, I tell ya. And while I can’t even recall the last time I had one, the taste lingers deep into my subconscious.
This no waste orange creamsicle smoothie seemed like a natural solution to my fresh orange juicing dilemma. And frankly, it’s quite brilliant. Ok, not really. It’s not remotely original, but that’s not the point. If you’re not a juicer with a ton of orange pulp taking up space in your fridge, a whole, peeled orange will do the trick.
