Parkinson’s therapy

Is there a cure for Parkinson’s disease? How can we cure it and prevent it from progressing in people with the disease?
Seyed Mohammad Mousavi Mirzaei, noting that Parkinson’s disease is a disease of the central nervous system, said: “In older adults, this disease is more common and is characterized by gradual progressive muscle stiffness, tremors and loss of motor skills.”
He continued: “This disorder occurs when certain areas of the brain lose their ability to produce” dopamine “.
“Parkinson’s is a neurological disease,” he said. “Parkinson’s occurs after the age of 45, although it can sometimes occur in younger people.”
Mousavi stated that there is no cure for this disease and only with treatment, the severity of symptoms can be reduced, adding: Usually, each disease appears with specific symptoms and the severity of Parkinson’s varies in different stages due to its progression.
“Parkinson’s disease is incurable, but the drugs that doctors prescribe for patients significantly reduce the symptoms of the disease and improve the quality of life,” he said.
The neurologist in South Khorasan continued by stating that tremor is one of the most common symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, which often occurs in the hands and fingers. He has trouble doing even the simplest tasks of his day.
Mousavi reminded: Patients may find a bent body due to this disease and have difficulty in maintaining balance.
He noted some of the common symptoms of Parkinson’s disease: tremors, stoopedness, depression, nervousness, and mental ability remain unchanged until the advanced stages and slowly decrease in the advanced stages.
