Prevention of radiotherapy complications in cancer patients

Different treatments for cancer patients have their own side effects. Radiotherapy and radiation therapy can have many negative effects on the body function of cancer patients. What methods can we use to prevent and control these complications? What do oncologists think about this? What do they recommend? They do things for patients in this area.

The faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences said: “Complications of cancer treatments, sometimes early and sometimes for a long time, come to the patient, and the patient and physician’s awareness of the complications of treatment helps a lot to prevent and control it.”

Mohammad Babaei, the scientific secretary of the seminar on dealing with the side effects of oncology treatments, announced the holding of a one-day seminar on dealing with the side effects of oncology treatments and said: It is used, but patients face complications in return for receiving medical services, and it is the responsibility of the oncologist to be aware of the complications and methods of prevention and minimization of these complications and control of adversity caused by cancer.

The scientific secretary of the seminar on dealing with the complications of oncology treatments added: “The art of a cancer therapist is to prescribe appropriate and timely treatment, and more importantly, to surround possible complications and to prevent and control these complications.” Complications of cancer treatments sometimes come to the patient early and sometimes for a long time, and knowing the patient and the doctor about the side effects of the treatment helps to prevent and control it.

He continued: “The doctor should inform the patient and his family about the possible side effects of cancer treatment so that we can better deal with the occurrence of these side effects.”

In another part of his speech, the oncologist said that a one-day seminar on dealing with the complications of oncology treatments will be held on March 19, 2008. He said: The country’s faculty will discuss this issue.

This faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences stated: In this seminar on topics such as infectious and blood complications of cancer treatment, gastrointestinal complications, skin and hair, infertility and fertility maintenance, complications of injection time and considerations during injection of chemotherapy drugs and treatment complications Tumors of the neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis can be mentioned.

The radiotherapy and oncology specialist noted: Radiotherapy oncology specialists, hematology oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, infectious, internal medicine, general practitioners, radiotherapy and nursing experts are the target groups of this seminar.
