The main functions of the liver include carbohydrate, protein, fat metabolism, storage and activation of vitamins and minerals, formation and secretion of bile, conversion of ammonia to urea, metabolism of steroids and purification and filtration.

Finally, the liver acts as a filter to filter and remove bacteria and waste products and is responsible for detoxifying drugs and alcohol.

The liver helps eliminate harmful chemicals through detoxification reactions.

Food and liver cleansing
