If you suffer from belly bloat and inflammation, getting rid of it isn’t as difficult as you may think. You just need to give your body the right ingredients to help battle these ailments.

This pineapple lime green smoothie not only tastes delicious, but it is infused with different nutrient compounds that provides your cells with important building blocks to help alkalize and strengthen the body.

This smoothie boosts your enzymes for the day (which improves digestion), and dramatically reduces inflammation. Pineapple is high in bromelain, an enzyme that supports proper digestion, reduces bloat and inflammation. Dandelion greens are another important ingredient that contain essential fatty acids and phytonutrients that fight body inflammation and keep bloating at bay.

I also love adding sprouts and spirulina to my smoothies to kick it up a notch – sprouts are high in enzymes that support proper digestion, reduce inflammation and improve muscle healing and repair. Pineapple Lime Green Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

– 2 cups ripe pineapple
– 1/2 lime, juiced
– 1 cup packed spinach
– 1 cup packed dandelion greens
– 1/4 cup broccoli or sunflower sprouts
– 1 cup fresh orange juice
– 1 tbsp. spirulina (optional)

Method:

Stick all of the above ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth (30-60 seconds). Enjoy!
