Stomach cancer by consuming hot tea
One of the foods that is consumed as a favorite drink in many homes is tea, which is obtained from the tea plant. In China and North India, this name was chosen for tea and now after many years it is known by the same name. Tea, like other substances, should be consumed in a normal way, and its wrong consumption has harmful effects.
Drinking mouth-burning tea greatly increases the risk of people suffering from dangerous diseases such as stomach and esophagus cancer.
Nowadays, under the influence of machine life, most people do their work, including drinking tea, in a hurry; Unaware that drinking hot tea can cause incurable diseases such as esophagus and stomach cancer in them in the not too distant future.
The vice president of research and technology of the Ministry of Health stressed on drinking pale, lukewarm tea at most three times a day and said: “Drinking hot and mouth-burning tea greatly increases the possibility of stomach and esophageal cancer.”
Dr. Reza Malekzadeh said: In the past, people used to consume tea in small amounts, pale in color, and in small glasses, but today we see that tea is often consumed in large and sometimes bold glasses, especially among the employees. It is consumed throughout the day.
He added: Also, today people drink tea hot immediately after pouring it in a glass. This is while global studies show that drinking hot tea causes esophageal and stomach cancers.
Malekzadeh also pointed to conducting studies in this field in Iran and said: A cohort study was conducted in Golestan province, the results of which show the possibility of esophageal cancer in people who drink tea with a temperature of more than 65 degrees Celsius. , 10 times more than people who consume lukewarm tea.
He stated: Based on the results of studies conducted in this field, the World Health Organization has declared that drinking hot liquids is carcinogenic.
Malekzadeh recommended that tea should be drunk in small glasses and at most three times a day and in a pale form, and never drink thick, hot tea in a glass.
Consuming carbonated soft drinks increases blood sugar and fatty liver
The head of the Gastroenterology and Liver Research Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences said: In addition, the consumption of carbonated drinks is one of the other health problems and causes obesity, high blood sugar and fatty liver.
Malekzadeh added: The increase in the amount of sugar and calories in the body due to the consumption of carbonated soft drinks is the most important complication of these soft drinks, which causes damage to various body systems.
He continued: Per capita consumption of carbonated soft drinks in Iran is one of the highest per capita, while they can be replaced with natural fruit juices without sugar, which have no harm to the health of the body.
