Effects of tattoo ink on health
To what extent will tattoo ink be harmful to our body’s health? People who constantly use these inks for the beauty of their skin should pay close attention to this matter and learn about the side effects of these products and their ingredients. These products can cause all kinds of cancers and incurable diseases.
Tattoo inks used in Europe are mainly imported from America and their use is increasing day by day. But a recent report raises new concerns about these products: tattoo inks contain dangerous chemicals, including carcinogens. This report, which was presented by the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, shows that heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, nickel, preservatives, organic compounds, bacteria and other harmful elements are present in tattoo inks. Officials of this European center believe that all tattoo inks in EU member states should be fully investigated. According to them, stricter guidelines should be considered regarding the use of these inks for permanent makeup. After the publication of this report, they requested the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) to monitor the health of tattoo inks more carefully. A statement from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) states: “Tattoo and permanent make-up inks (PMU) may contain hazardous elements; Elements that cause unpleasant and serious problems: cancer, genetic mutations, toxic effects on reproduction, allergies or other harmful effects on health.
