Sprouts should be purchased fresh and should be avoided by children, pregnant women, the elderly and those with a weak immune system.

Raw milk is not pasteurized. During the pasteurization process, the milk is heated before being rapidly cooled. This process destroys pathogenic bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli and listeria. However, reports show that diseases caused by drinking raw milk or foods prepared from it are increasing, which is one of the reasons for the claims related to the prevention of certain diseases by consuming raw milk. Children are more likely to get sick as a result of consuming raw milk.

Cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cabbage should not be eaten raw. Some people cannot consume these foods because they contain sugars that are very difficult to digest. The reason for cooking cruciferous vegetables is that the sugars in them are easier to digest.
