Gynecologist Dr. Sattari said: ovulation controlling hormones (LH, FSH) are secreted by the pituitary gland.

By raising the level of female hormones, contraceptive pills make the body recognize that there is enough female hormone, so there is no need to secrete the two main hormones, LH and FSH, so their levels are greatly reduced and ovulation stops.

He added: In fact, the mechanism of action of most contraceptive pills is to stop ovulation, but the progesterone part also reduces the thickness of the inner layer of the uterus (endometrium), which makes it difficult for the fetus to sit inside the uterus and be expelled if ovulation occurs. .
