Use these methods to reduce facial swelling:
1- Using ice
Put two or three ice cubes in water and then dip a piece of cloth in it. Place the cloth on the puffy face for a few minutes. People whose faces suffer from this type of swelling a lot, especially after sleeping. It is better to wash your face with cold water as soon as you wake up in the morning.
2- Facial massage
1- Lubricate your face with a moisturizer such as olive oil or any other massage oil.
2- Gently massage your face with your fingers.
3- Start the massage from the forehead and continue towards the bottom of the face, under the eyes, chin, jaw and neck lines.
4- Repeat the massage twenty to twenty-five times.
5- This massage removes the puffiness of the face by pushing the extra water in the skin cells to the lymph nodes of the neck and upper chest.

1- Press your middle finger on the deepest part of the chin, the space between the chin bone and the jaw.
2- Massage this area for thirty seconds.

4- Cucumber and lemon juice mask
Take six to eight pieces of cucumbers, put the cucumbers in lemon juice (for greasy skin ) or put it in milk (for dry skin) and leave it in the refrigerator for an hour. Leave these pieces on the face for fifteen to twenty minutes and then wash the face with cold water.
5- Ground coffee mask
Combine two tablespoons of ground coffee with two tablespoons of cocoa powder, one tablespoon of honey and three tablespoons of milk or plain yogurt. Rub this mixture on your face and after fifteen to twenty minutes, wipe the skin and wash it with water.
Coffee mask is effective in reducing facial puffiness and also has anti-aging properties for the skin. If you don’t have cocoa powder available, just combine coffee and honey together. Do not use this mask too much. Once or twice a week seems to be enough.
6- Tea bag green tea
Place a tea bag of green tea in boiling water for three to four minutes, then remove the tea bag from the water and let it cool. Leave the cooled tea bag on the puffy area of your face for twenty minutes and then wash it with lukewarm water.
7- Egg white mask
Mix the whites of two eggs together and then leave it for a few minutes. Spread this mixture on the face and let it rest for twenty minutes. Now wash your face with cold water and use your usual cleanser. In addition to reducing the swelling and redness of the skin, this combination removes excess oil from the skin, which leads to acne.
8- Warm water shower
Use a lukewarm to cold shower. Bathing in the morning with relatively cold water makes the blood flow under your skin and restores freshness to the skin. If you can soak your leaf in cold water in the bathroom and put it on your face for 10 minutes, it will have a significant effect on reducing puffiness. If you don’t have time to take a bath, wash your face with cold water for one to two minutes.
9- Reduce the accumulation of water in the body
To reduce the accumulation of water in the body, use the following strategies:
1- Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.
2- Reduce salt intake.
3- Have a balanced and healthy diet.
This diet includes consuming large amounts of vegetables, edible seeds, and other high-fiber foods such as Wholemeal bread.
4- Protein deficiencycalcium, magnesium and vitamins B1, B5 and B6 can also cause water accumulation in the body.
5- Do 20 minutes of physical exercise every day.
6- When resting, lie down or sit with your legs elevated, such as when you’re sitting in a chair, with your feet on a table or another chair.

Treatment of swelling of the face caused by sleeping
If your facial puffiness is caused by oversleeping, add a few drops of lemon and olive oil to the water in which you have thrown some ice cubes. Move a piece of ice on your face, it will be very cold at first, but your skin will get used to it. The coldness of the ice will reduce the puffiness of your face, the citric acid in the lemon juice will tighten your skin, and the olive oil will help to hydrate the skin.
