The most useful hormone treatments for men
What are the appropriate treatment methods for male hormonal problems? We are referring to some of the most useful ones.
There are various methods to treat many causes of male infertility. Some simple lifestyle changes such as avoiding alcohol, tobacco and drugs can improve fertility. Also, a healthy diet, moderate exercise, adequate amount of vitamin B12, vitamin C and zinc also help fertility.
Treatment of hormonal problems
Various drugs are effective in treating the imbalance of hormones and the pituitary gland:
Clomiphene Citrate can stimulate the hypothalamus and release GnRH at regular intervals and treat infertility if the LH and FSH levels are low and the pituitary gland and hypothalamus are functionally intact.
• If the pituitary gland does not work properly and does not produce the required sex hormones, HSHCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) ampoule can be used to increase LH and stimulate the testicles to produce testosterone and sperm.
• If there is no reaction to HashCG, the drug Pergonal (menotropin) can be used to stimulate sperm production.
Bromocriptine can treat hyperprolactinemia.
• Cortisone replacement therapy can reduce abnormally high androgen levels and help the pituitary gland function properly.
• Hormone replacement therapy usually takes 4 months.
Physical problems
• Varicocele: In most cases, varicocele can be treated with microscopic surgery. Surgery can solve problems related to sperm in 70% of men.
• Obstruction of ducts: the passage of sperm from the testicle to the outside of the penis can be blocked for various reasons. If a person has previously used a vasectomy, reverse vasectomy can be used, and microscopic surgery techniques can be used for scars caused by sexually transmitted diseases.
