This nutrient-dense apple fennel juice is one of my favourite juice recipes. I make it at least once a week, but it could be consumed daily if you so choose. It acts as an all over body toner, energizer, strengthener, alkalizer and detoxifier. It is tasty, delicious, nutritious and feeds every cell in the body.
Fennel helps sweeten the body fluids. It freshens the breath, gets rid of bad body odour, it is great for mothers who are nursing (keeps the milk flowing) and tastes absolutely delicious.
As a whole, the ingredients of this juice help break through the cholesterol and mucus that plugs up the tiny hair-like capillaries all over our body. To dissolve the accumulations in these capillaries and veins, you need to nourish them with nutrients from fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. Lemon is especially great for “scrubbing” our veins, and getting them squeaky clean – it acts as an astringent, similarly to apples.
By helping tone the body and its organs, while alkalizing harsh acids from a protein-heavy diet (over-cooked fatty foods and animal products), this juice in turn helps energize and detoxify. Enjoy!
