This Banana Oat Smoothie Wards Off Cardiovascular Disease, Type II Diabetes and Obesity!

If you’re looking for the perfect balanced breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up, this banana oat smoothie is just the thing you need to stay energized, alert, and bad-mood-free.
Bananas are high in vitamin B6 – this vitamin acts as an anti-inflammatory and wards off cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes and obesity. They are renowned for their high levels of potassium, which helps to lower high blood pressure and reduces risk of heart attack and stroke.
Oats are also great for stabilizing blood sugar levels, and prevent high insulin spikes. In this recipe I give you the option of using raw steel-cut oats, or buckwheat groats that have been sprouted (soak overnight, drain the next morning and let sit out for a day – little tails will eventually sprout!).
