This Cancer-Fighting Salad Should Be Eaten At Least Once A Week (with ACV, Avocado And More!)

Salads can be pretty boring sometimes, but not until you’ve tried this one. This cancer-fighting salad recipe is loaded with nourishing ingredients to keep your immune system strong, promote clear skin and help boost energy levels.

It is high in antioxidants, protein, and healthy fats, which make a salad that’ll leave you feeling full and satisfied.

Here’s a little scoop on the ingredients:

Leafy Greens & Spinach are high in B vitamins as well as vitamins A, C, E and K. They also contain minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper and manganese. Leafy greens are great anti-cancer agents, helping to lower cancer risk as much as 40% (1). Leafy greens are a great source of calcium, too, so consuming them in high quantities can ensure strong, healthy bones.

Avocado is a great source of the master antioxidant glutathione, which aids in scavenging and destroying free radicals, which can lead to diseases such as cancer. They contain high levels of phytosterols, which provide important anti-inflammatory benefits, excellent cardiovascular benefits, as well as a number of anti-cancer properties (2, 3, 4).

Berries like blueberries and blackberries contain anthocyanins, which possess both chemopreventative and chemotherapeutic activities (5). Aside from preventing cancer, berries are an incredible food for the brain, helping prevent Alzheimer’s and dementia as well as improve memory.

Pomegranate Seeds are powerful antivirals and contain strong anti-tumour properties. They contain three times as many antioxidants as both wine or green tea. The extracts from pomegranate have the ability to reduce blood supply to tumour cells, starving them, and thus slowing down cancer cell reproduction (7). Pomegranates also have the ability to soothe stomachaches, destroy intestinal worms, provide anti-aging effects, protect the teeth and improve skin quality.

Tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, quinoa and carrots are highly anti-cancerous as well! They also provide the body with benefits such as strengthening vision, protecting the heart and providing the body with complete proteins.

If you’re making this recipe, try to stick with as many organic ingredients as possible – especially for the greens, blackberries and cherry tomatoes!
