Make the most of citrus this season by making this citrus banger smoothie! It is high in vitamin C to boost the immune system, as well as fibre, which slows digestion and keeps you full longer, while sustaining healthy blood sugar levels.
Lemons and coconut water are both natural diuretics, helping the body to flush fluids regularly and get rid of water retention caused by sodium-heavy diets. Oranges are also great for maintaining a healthy blood pressure – they’re also high in potassium, which naturally off-sets the effects of a salt-heavy diet and helps lower blood pressure.
By getting rid of sodium in the body via diuretic effects and infusing the body with plenty of potassium, this citrus banger smoothie blend is a perfect mix for making sure your cardiovascular system is strong and healthy!
