What are the best foods to eat with food?

Each food has its own properties. For example, yogurt is one of the foods that is very useful to eat with food, but it is not recommended at all with fish. Other foods have the same condition and can be consumed with some beneficial foods and some harmful foods. Be with Dr. Salam.
Salinity and acidity
Salts and pickles are among the most flavorful and appetizing foods. On this account, healthy people who are slightly malnourished and have little appetite can stimulate their appetite and eat more by combining a variety of pickles and salts with their main meals. Of course, this advice is more for lean and malnourished people, and surely, obese people will overeat by putting salt and pickles next to their main plate of food, and surely, the problem of obesity and overweight will intensify. Salts, on the other hand, are high in salt and are not recommended for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, and some kidney disease, as well as those whose physician has limited salt intake. In addition, it is not recommended to consume pickles with food for people with gastrointestinal ulcers, because there is a possibility of exacerbation of the disease by consuming pickles containing vinegar or juice for such patients. Never forget that even healthy people should consume a proper and balanced amount of savory with their meals. This balanced volume can be equal to about 2 to 3 tablespoons of jam. Excessive consumption of salts causes a large amount of salt to enter the body and dehydration.
yogurt
There are different types of yogurts; From simple yogurts to their flavored types or yogurt, shallots, yogurt and cucumber, which also has many fans among us Iranians. Yogurt is a good source of calcium and protein, and cucumber is a low-calorie, high-water vegetable. In this way, combining a small bowl of yogurt and cucumber with the main dishes will not be a problem. People who are obese and overweight can eat their salad or yogurt and cucumber before meals instead of with food. This causes the stomach to fill up, and because one of the satiety reactions is to fill the stomach, their appetite for the main meal is reduced and they eat less. Of course, it is important to know that yogurts, like other dairy products, contain certain proteins that negatively affect the absorption of iron in meat. These proteins even interfere with the absorption of heme iron. Therefore, people with anemia, women and girls can eat yogurt or yogurt at a distance from their main meal and not eat it properly with food.
Vegetables and salads
Another popular dish in Iran is Shirazi salad. You can add some fresh lemon juice, juice or orange juice to this traditional salad to increase the nutritional value of your Shirazi salad and your main meal. The abundant vitamin C in lemons, gourds and oranges helps to better absorb the two elements in food, such as iron. On this account, healthy people can taste meat dishes with Shirazi salad. The important thing about this salad is that it is flavored with sour condiments and its consumption can be problematic for people with digestive problems such as ulcers or gastritis. On the other hand, people with gastrointestinal disorders are advised to eat a low-fiber diet. On this account, the consumption of salads (lettuce salad or summer salads), yogurt and cucumber and even eating vegetables should be limited for them. Unfortunately, some people are accustomed to eating lettuce salad or even Shirazi salad with a lot of mayonnaise. This wrong habit can lead to overweight and obesity or high blood fats over time. People who do not have digestive problems or are overweight can season lettuce salad with some lemon juice or fresh orange juice and a small amount of olive or sesame oil.
Opinion of traditional medicine
Dr. Rasoul Choupani, a specialist in traditional medicine and a member of the faculty of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, emphasized in the second specialized seminar on traditional medicine in the field of lifestyle modification that food interactions cause gastrointestinal disorders and indigestion. “Traditional medicine’s one of the worst eating habits is to eat several different foods in terms of color, taste and quality at one meal.” According to this statement, it is better to limit the consumption of salads with the main meal as much as possible and to postpone the consumption of salads until shortly or after the main meal. Dr. Chupani also pointed out that eating one or two salads with food is not a problem, but the continuation of this habit can cause various digestive problems for people in the long run. He emphasized that two foods, cold, hot, viscous, bloated and astringent, should not be eaten at the same time. According to this traditional medicine expert, the interaction of foods with each other causes incomplete digestion, indigestion and ultimately adverse effects on the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, we should not create conditions for gastrointestinal disorders and their side effects by managing food consumption.
